All right, first things first... I am 31 and have many roles in life. I'm a mother, wife, student, writer, and have many off the wall hobbies and interests that you'll probably learn more about as I blog.
I have had an ongoing obsession with free stuff. This started as a child when my best friend and I would pore over our mother's magazines and order anything free we could get our hands on. This was in the 80's and early 90's; requesting freebies did not simply involve logging on to a website and requesting a sample, it was hard work. Also, the freebies stunk. We didn't care, and enjoyed getting free samples of adult diapers and brochures about cruises because at least we were getting mail.
Well, my obsession has had its ups and downs through the years. I was active in the "freebie" community in 2001-2002 but when I became a mom in 2003, I just ran out of time. While researching a topic for an article I had to write I stumbled on an offer for a free sample of Zantac 150, a product my husband uses anyway. I excitedly filled out the form and remembered how much fun it is to get those samples in the mailbox every day. Therefore, I wanted back in the game.
My plan is to blog at least a few times a week, daily when possible, sharing a few freebies, information about what I get in the mail and maybe a bit about me and my family. I hope you enjoy reading, and I'm sure you'll love the freebies too!
